Wood burners & biomass heating

Biomass pellet boiler

Biomass pellet boilers

TSS has two options for using biomass to heat your home: you can use a stove to heat an individual room, or a boiler that will connect to your central heating and hot water systems.

Biomass boilers

Biomass is produced from organic materials, either from plants or from industrial, commercial, domestic or agricultural products but not fossil fuels. Producing energy from biomass has great environmental and economic advantages.

Although biomass produces CO2, it only releases the same amount that it absorbed whilst growing, which is why it can be called 'carbon neutral'. Also, biomass can contribute to waste management by harnessing energy from products that are often disposed of at landfill.

Wood burning stoves

Woodburning stoves heat up more quickly than any other kind of heating and can produce 6-12kW (kilowatts) of heat at any point in time They are usually designed to go in the living room of a house, where they provide total or partial heating for the room.
